Wines That We Make in Winery
We offer a wide range of wines, including Pontita white and red wines. We produce
our wines on-site and specialize in dry Rieslings, though we make a sweet Riesling too. We also make a Cabernet Sauvignon, a red Zinfandel and a sweet Riesling and Zinfandel blend red that we call RieZin.
The word "Dry"
Dry can mean two very different things. The winemaker's perspective is that a Dry wine is one that has very little or no sugar. The wine is not sweet.
Sometimes we also mean dry as a synonym for astringent, tannic or "cotton-mouth". That is a wine that makes pores close on your tongue and you feel dry.
All wines except for Aloha nd RieZin are Dry (not sweet). Titannic, Cab and Zin are also Dry (astringent).
Native grape fruit flavors that we preserve:
Riesling: Apple pear and appricot
